This project for my Images in Communication class is an accompanying booklet to an existing pattern.
I chose to create a way for someone with no knowledge on how to crochet to be able to pick up this booklet and be able to create the item inside. The booklet contains original photography and expanded instructions accompanying the existing pattern. It is set up in a way that the user first sees what the step looks like, followed by the pattern instructions, then a description on how to actually follow through. On the right page are visual step-by-step instructions.
Pattern by Yarnspirations. Cover model is Stephanie Martin.
This project was done for my Typography 2 class, where we were assigned to design a modular, uppercase typeface composed of the alphabet letters A-Z and numbers 0-9.
The typeface I designed is called “Shield” because of the rounded corners and sharp tapers. The shapes I chose to build the characters are a square, a quarter circle, and the counter space of a quarter circle.
For this project, I created set of cards with symbols conveying ideas of Aristotle in regards to ethics. The idea was to use easy to understand symbols to convey deep topics. It is intended to be understood universally since Aristotle’s teachings can be found worldwide.
The Aristotelian ideas on ethics include the ideas that character arises from habit, eudaimonia, justice is proportional, the four cardinal virtues, and the complete virtue.
